BYOB, etc, at your choosing. Sunday, July 8, 8:30 am Caravan to Hyde Park The Caravan will leave the P.E.R.A. Building at 9:30 sharp The caravan Sunday morning will stage at the former PERA building across the street from the State Capitol building on Paseo de Peralta. We call the Capitol building the round house since it was designed after a Keva (a Native American meeting and prayer lodge), (and is totally round). You can’t miss it. We will travel from there down the (original) Old Santa Fe Trail to the official end of the trail at the Plaza (aka the original old Route 66). From there we will proceed with a full police escort to Hyde Park. Hyde Park is the highest scenic park in the State of New Mexico. Our event will be held at an altitude of 8,500 feet, so if you are not used to the altitude, please hydrate (with water) often. Santa Fe is at 7,500 feet so make sure you hydrate even in town. When the caravan begins to arrive at the park, we will fire up all the grills and lunch will be served. We would be highly insulted if you don’t enjoy our famous Green Chile Cheese Burgers. There will also be Door prizes, and a raffle. The picnic is 100 % free of charge to corvette owners, drivers and family. All we ask is that if you have a great time, drop a donation in our jar for next year. Our goal and only rule as a club is to have fun. We love to network with corvette owners and drivers, and strive to give our guest the best time available |
