THE SUN IS SHINING ON THE NATIONS THIS MORNING AND IT'S A LITTLE COOL. THE CHEROKEES ARE PLEASED.

I'M STARTING TO TRANSITION OUT OF WINTER-THINK; CAR CLEAN UP, TRIPS TO THE RANGE, YARD WORK :-(, COME TO MIND AS WE WILL SOON BE OUT OF THE DANGER ZONE FOR FREEZING. (THE WORST BLIZZARD IN RECORDED HISTORY OF WESTERN OK & THE TEXAS PANHANDLE WAS IN THE FIRST WEEK OF APRIL, 1939)

I'VE GOT THREE RIFLES THAT NEED SIGHTING IN AND SOME NEW LOADS TO TRY IN THE .222 MAG. NEED A CALM DAY FOR THE .222, THE OTHERS ARE NOT SO CRITICAL.

Greetings! I just returned from getting a root canal - so far so good, but the novocaine hasn't worn off yet. Other than that, it's nice and sunny, may take the Vette for a spin later.

Have a good day, all!

Take the percs now BEFORE the novocaine wears off. Rest, dent the couch.

So far today I drove the 928 and the 83 911 on a nice spirited ride. Enjoyed getting out in them. Sometime they just don't get enough attention. Use them or pay a price for letting them sit.

Hey guys...been going since early today. Went down to the church and picked up three other members and headed to Dodge City. Spent a few hours there at the Cathedral and came home.

It was a cool start, but sunny...and it has stayed sunny but has warmed into the mid 60s, a really nice day.

Got to go work on a computer... Later

Tom

I'll tell you Tommy, it's a great tribute to your brother to drive that 928. Every single time you take it out. I sometimes wish I had my dad's old pickup. Nothing special...but his.

Cool here today but the sun peeked through the clouds in the afternoon. This weekend we should see 70. Nice.

Because of electrical work in my mom's garage, I had to move the Corvette home last night. It was raining like a mofo, but it's home. Didn't want to start at first and I have it narrowed down to the battery or the starter. Needed a quick jump start with 13+ V and it whizzed over no problem. I could feel the flat spots in the tires from sitting over the winter, but those will be gone soon. Motor ran well and it felt great to be inside the cabin. Like meeting an old friend you haven't seen in years...as if you never had a break in time. Looking forward to doing some maintenance and little jobs on it.

I have a long weekend off lined up and I'm looking forward to it.

Hope you Gurus had a great day!

After Quasimodo's death, Bishop Thomas of the cathedral of Notre Dame sent word through the streets of Paris that a new bell ringer was needed. The bishop decided that he would conduct the interviews personally and went up into the belfry to begin the screening process.

After observing while several applicants demonstrated their skills, he decided to call it a day.

Just then a lone, armless man approached him and announced that he was there to apply for the bell ringer's job.

Bishop Thomas was incredulous. 'You have no arms.'

''No matter,' said the man, 'observe!' He then began striking the bells with his face, producing a beautiful melody on the carillon. The bishop listened in astonishment, convinced that he had finally found a suitable replacement for Quasimodo. Suddenly, while rushing forward to strike a bell, the armless man tripped and plunged headlong out of the belfry window to his death in the street below.

The stunned bishop immediately rushed down the stairways. When he reached the street, a crowd had gathered around the fallen figure, drawn by the beautiful music they had heard only moments before. As they silently parted to let the bishop through, one of them asked, 'Bishop, who was this man?'

'I don't know his name,' the bishop sadly replied, 'but his face rings a bell.'

The following day, despite the sadness that weighed heavily on his heart due to the unfortunate death of the armless campanologist, the bishop continued his interviews for the bellringer of Notre Dame.

The first man to approach him said, "Your excellency, I am the brother of the poor, armless wretch that fell to his death from this very belfry yesterday. I pray that you honor his life by allowing me to replace him in this duty."

The bishop agreed to give the man an audition, and as the armless man's brother stooped to pick up a mallet to strike the first bell, he groaned, clutched at his chest and died on the spot.

Two monks, hearing the bishop's cries of grief at this second tragedy, rushed up the stairs to his side.

"What has happened?" the first breathlessly asked, "Who is this man?" "I don't know his name," sighed the distraught bishop, "but he's a dead ringer for his brother.
