I got the bad tummy this morning...maybe it was the 3 krout dogs and 4 pieces of bad pizza at the game last night....mmmmm.

It is that time of the year Guru's....Big Red Football is back and the State of Nebraska doesn't have to pretend to be happy anymore.....let see who is our first game with....ahh Southern Miss...hmmm could be tough. The Huskers have a 27 opening game winning streak on the line and we are favored by 19 points.....sounds like fun.

Gotta get to feeling better first....

Look what showed up in my shop....

89 triple Black that the guy who bought my C5 owns. I am going to do a couple of things on it and I know a guy who I think is going to buy it. It's pretty rough but runs good.

Naa he won't fit....in fact after being in the 5's and 6's and climbing back into this car it seemed real tight to me..
and a lot harder to get out of....

Here is an interesting fact...well interesting to me anyway......the build date on the C6 is 9-22-09 which is my middle daughters B-Day....so I am thinking I will give it to her on her birthday coming up.....but first I will have to use it for about 10 years.....

Good morning.

Got up early to go with my wife to a yard sale. They had a really nice regulation slate top pool table. heavy as a SOB. That's why we didn't buy it. Too hard to move. 9 ball rack, 8 ball rack, cues, bridge stick holder, balls, chalk and of course the table, in good shape. $300. If we could have moved it we would have got it an put it on the patio.
Here is what we did buy. Picks, axes, hard rake, assorted craftsman wrenches and a hand truck. Here were the big scores. A like new 20' aluminum ladder. $20 A poker table. We're gonna start playing again real soon. $25 A triple stack Craftsman tool box, now in my garage. drum roll please, . . . . . . . . . $100
We bought a little over $250 worth of yard sale stuff. Don't have a clue on the retail but I think we got a steal of a deal.

Well boys-n-gurlz, today I find myself at a crossroads. I've got repairs to perform on the house. The most notable is the turlet in the masterbath is leaking at the base and needs a new wax ring. I've done this before. I don't enjoy it. So after considering all the facts, weighing the process in my mind and looking at the fun factor involved, I've decided I'm not gonna do it. This'll get farmed out next week. At 57 years of age, I figure I've paid my dues on this sort of thing. Besides, I eat enough s__t at work, why not let someone who gets paid to eat s__t eat the s__t I don't wat to eat? Who's with me on this?

I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
Bob out.

I know what you mean, I'm a cheap SOB as well, but I'm also tired of the unexpected injuries that seem to follow me when I do this stuff. I'm becoming so accident prone that when my neighbors see me pull out a ladder they all get out their lawn chairs and coolers to wait for me to do someting stupid and painful.

Dreary day here, rain is moving out, I still feel crappy - taking some nick nacks to the shelf I have rented at the flea market place, picking up an Rx, and I guess back home, sit around the house. Don't feel like much, not in the mood, either...
have a good Saturday y'all...

I was out the door before 9, it was already getting bad.

I hardly ever go on Saturday but I was out of distilled water in the shop and need some to try out the black oxide plating.

I should do that in my bath, but right now it takes a month and a half for the leak to show up after mopping.

Yea, that repair sucks.

Oops.... Better show the Corvette side of things. Don't fotget. Last year I didn't have a garage. I guess I should have looked for a bigger garage with a house attached to it. Or maybe one day I can have another garage built. It's all about the Benjamins.

Back early from the game...holy moly it was hot...dangerous hot and they were running out of water by half time...we ended up outside the stadium in the shade watching on a big screen they have set up...then we said why are we doing this when we could be home watching on the big screen there. So we bailed and we were not alone. Lots of older folks were having to be helped out and some on stretchers. Outside temp was 95 and in the packed stadium it was worse. We had sweat just running off of us. We won easily but special teams will get a tune up this week I'm thinking.

Nice on the tool chest Tommy. I have been looking at auctions all summer but they all have gone for near new money so I just move on.

How come the Poorchas get the cool garage and the vettes the......nevermind...

Evening guys...I'm 57 too, and probably a cheaper azz than most. I'd do the repair like it or not, because I'm not only cheap but stupid too, because I hate f@*%ing plumbing. Tommy that was quite the score.

It was hot here too, but we didn't have to haul anyone off. We all just kept hydrated. We were out at my little brothers' place saw him and his wife, two of our daughters and kids, my older brother, wife and one of their kids and three grands. Little bros wife had a brother and sister and spouses show up and a friend of little bro and one of his wifes'. It was quite a gathering.

Tonight we are at the wife's folks.

Marcus, it time for a new avatar........

Congrats, Bill!

I decided that as long as I was just sitting around looking stupid, I may as well putz with the Vette. I decided to put the Corsa's back on since I had a couple of exhaust leaks anyway. Now I'm sitting around looking stupid again, since I seem to be missing 2 nuts I need to finish putting it back together. Looks like a trip to the store will be in order tomorrow.

Well Tommy just got a new ladder....and he's got about 237 lawn chairs...might be time for a Guru gathering!

Here is an interesting fact...well interesting to me anyway......the build date on the C6 is 9-22-09 which is my middle daughters B-Day....so I am thinking I will give it to her on her birthday coming up.....but first I will have to use it for about 10 years.....

Congrats. Your daughter turns 3 in just a couple weeks! She'll have fun once it's hers, but I think 13 is too young to drive even in farm country.

Nah, I got it. I really did.

It was kind of confusing when I wrote it too. let's just say that there were lots of people there having a good time.

Apparently some of them were drinking

The most notable is the turlet in the masterbath is leaking at the base and needs a new wax ring. I've done this before. I don't enjoy it.

I should do that in my bath, but right now it takes a month and a half for the leak to show up after mopping.

Yea, that repair sucks.

I think that's just you having bad aim

Hopefully the quarters didn't get stuck in there or you'll have more mopping to do.

Me too. My wife told me I wouldn't need them and I could have them back anytime I wanted. That was 6 years ago and I haven't seen them since.
