Subject: Re: 383 intake,cam and headers ...... by bogus on 2010/11/27 1:29:20 Think about this for a moment: Thanks to the ALMS restrictions, the C5R and C6.r GT1 cars were limited to ~610hp, thanks to dual 1.3" restrictors. To make up for the stall, they used these big ass airboxes. Without said restrictors, the racing 7.0 would produce somewhere north of 900hp (quote from Johnny O). According to Ron Fellows, the 7.0, thanks to the restrictors, produced power between 2900 and 5400 RPM. Seriously. @Marcus - you want to make the stock L98 breath? Extrude hone the base, put on big runners, clean up the plenum. Add a dual exhaust system and then a cam and rocker package. Done is done. |
