Subject: Starting problem # 1 by josephf31 on 2010/6/19 16:17:35 Hi again all, time to start working in the list of fixes! I just replaced the starter on my 1991 L98, it would not start when hot due to heat soak. That problem is fixed, the starter now always cranks on the first attempt, hot or cold. However, if/when it doesn't fire up on the first crank (separate post coming on that), after waiting a few seconds, sometimes (intermittently but regularly), I will only get a "click" from starter/solenoid but no crank. It varies, sometimes I will get 2 or 3 full cranks, other times, one click then a crank, other times, 2 clicks then a crank. Any thoughts? Thanks guys this site is the BEST! Joe |
